Description: For their private art gallery, the Fürstenbergs commissioned a mural by Carl Larsson. The result was the famous Fürstenberg triptych, which was shown at the World Fair in Paris in 1889, where it was awarded a 1st class medal. Larsson made a large number of studies for the triptych. Many of these were given to friends; this one he gave to the sculptor Christian Eriksson.
